do-it-yourself travelers.
Currently, due to circumstances, we are unable to accommodate overnight stays. This site is open for viewing the works of Keisuke Hayashi, depicted on pine trees. If you would like to see the actual works, please contact info@cocoroom.org
At the end of the Doubutsuen-mae shopping arcade, “Matsunoki” is immersed in a nostalgic Showa period atmosphere. We transformed a traditional house, which used to also be a blowfish restaurant, into a guesthouse for one group of people. There is a kitchen, fridge and washing machine in the house. So you can continue your normal lifestyle. Matsunoki would be good for people with kids or a group of people.
You will be welcome to relax and play in the garden, have meals and participate in workshops all at Cocoroom.
After you check in the guesthouse, please ask Cocoroom’s staff about the neighborhood and places worth visiting in Osaka. Based on our personal knowledge, we will give you information that best matches your interests.
We created an arts guide map, “Kamap!” for guests to get to know the Kamagasaki area. In addition to information about local arts, it also introduces background information and details the lifestyles of this area, and provides unique tips to best enjoy your time here. Although Kamagasaki seems a unique town, it really becomes a special place when you experience it on your own.
Our staff has found and mapped shops, convenience stores, supermarkets, and more useful spots where you can feel Osaka’s atmosphere on Google maps. Please feel free to use it!
(Cafés, supermarkets, restaurants, public baths, post offices, cosmetics shops, souvenir shops, electronics retailers, books and records stores, kimono shops, galleries, and movie theaters)
You can get to both of the JR and subway stations walking from Matsunoki. Conveniently located, you can go anywhere in Osaka City as well as famous sightseeing places outside of Osaka.
